Yoga for Sexual Health- Spice up your sex life!

If you have been feeling exhausted to make love to your partner or is not able to last longer, I know it is not a good feeling. It can affect your sex life and relationship. But there is a solution to it, the secret is yoga. Have you tried yoga for sexual health? Want to know how yoga can save you the frustration and stress from lack of sexual desire? Then continue to read below

1. Yoga stimulates sex organs:

All the stretching and bending promotes blood flow in our body to the pelvic, groin and hip area, this arouses our sex organs and creates a horny feeling. According to the book “Real Men Do Yoga” by “John Capouya”, traditional yogis believe that yoga asanas gently massage and rejuvenate our internal organs like our uterus, fallopian tube and ovary which not only prevents against reproductive illness (dangerous diseases like cancer) but also helps the reproductive organs working efficiently. These include exercises like the bow, cobra and locust pose.

2.  Yoga increases stamina:

According to an article published on “Yoga Journal” yoga strengthens and tones your muscles and bones. When specially your pelvic muscles are strengthened then you have better command over your body physically. The toning of the pelvic muscles stimulates sensitivity to sexual zones of our body. This way you not only have command over you and your partner’s energy flow but orgasms lasts deeper as well.

3. Yoga Improves focus:

Are you worrying about what task needs to be done next after sex or trying to rush through sex because your mind is somewhere else? Another common reason what makes it difficult to achieve an orgasm is being mentally present elsewhere during sex. Every desire starts with brain so of course sexual desire too starts with brain, if you are stressed or have a headache then not tonight honey, I am not well, is often the excuse. Yoga calms mind, by boosting the parasympathetic system, the part of the nervous system that promotes good sleep, reproductive health, healing and digestion. Hence you are able to rule out headaches and distractions from your mind so that you can enjoy the present and focus on making love by feeling fully connected with your partner.

4. Yoga makes you love yourself and your body:

Sexual desire starts with the love and intimacy of our own body. With yoga you become more intimate and familiar with your body parts. You are more accepting of your body, you become fond of the new capabilities of your body and you urge to explore its potential. This way yoga can help alleviate insecurities, as you will notice you are more comfortable in trying new positions. which in turn helps you, become more intimate with your partner. When you are able to connect with your body and feel the sensations then you are able to pass on the same to your partner and enjoy the whole experience of intercourse. When you love your body then you move a step further and appreciate the same with someone else’s body.

5. Yoga increases flexibility:

By practicing yoga poses for your sexual health you become more flexible, and the more flexible you are, the easier and comfortable it is for you to try different positions which further spices up your sex life.

6. Yoga stimulates your sensitivity to sex:

We are blessed with the capacity to see and feel beauty of all things. Yoga arouses our senses that are carried away by stress and other distracted thoughts and pressure of life. When these senses become livelier, you enjoy everything to the fullest without distraction. That means you become completely absorbed into the moment at bed with your partner without thinking or worrying about anything else. Give yourself sometime and feel and admire your senses, for example: fully experience your sense of smell by involving your senses in only smelling a fragrant flower, or your sense of your hearing, like try enjoying music without thinking about anything else, sense of sight by admiring the beauty of nature open minded and just being present in the nature or my favorite is trying meditating with your eyes opened in the beauty of nature. Breath exercises like Anulom Vilom and Kapalbhati do a great deal of work to stimulate your senses.

7. Yoga balances pituitary gland:

Based on the reports from Yoga Journal, it is said that the desire for sex starts in the brain (pituitary

Pituitary gland

gland) not in the genitals. Yoga balances pituitary gland. Pituitary gland is the tiny pea sized master gland located at the base of the brain, which stimulates the secretion of hormones from other glands. The secretion of hormones activates the sex organs and provides more stamina, which thereby contributes to a significant reason to practice yoga for sexual health

  1. This was such a great read. This is my first time reading about yoga for sexual health. I am familiar with a few of the poses that you do in the video below like the single leg pigeon. I added that pose to my pre-workout routine because i was having trouble with my lower back. I am guilty of being somewhere else while being intimate especially if it’s a new partner and even with an previous partner. I feel the need to rush especially if she’s already had her orgasm. So i could definitely benefit from the extra focus because i’m sure i am missing something. Additionally, i could benefit from some extra love for myself. I have a habit of being extremely hard on myself and it tends to take away from the success i have made in the gym. This was a great article thanks for posting.
